While a mechanical drain snake is great for punching through solid clogs, it leaves soft grease and sludge stuck to the pipe walls. Hydro jetting uses highly pressurized water (up to 4,000 PSI) blasted through a specialized nozzle to scour the inside of the pipe. It washes away years of grease, scale, and fine roots, restoring the pipe to a near-new condition.
When this service makes sense
We first inspect the line with a camera to ensure the pipe is structurally strong enough to withstand high pressure. We then insert the jetter hose through an exterior cleanout. The rear-facing water jets propel the nozzle forward while simultaneously blasting debris off the pipe walls and flushing it down to the city main.

It depends on the roots. Cabling with a blade can cut thick, woody roots, while jetting is incredible for completely washing away fine, hairy root masses and the mud they trap.

Restaurants and heavy-use commercial kitchens often require hydro jetting every 3 to 6 months as preventative maintenance to avoid sudden grease blockages.
