The resin beads inside your water softener do the actual work of trapping hard minerals. Over years of exposure to chlorine and heavy water flow, these tiny plastic beads break down into mush, losing their ability to hold a charge. Replacing the resin is a cost-effective way to make an old softener perform like new.
We place the system in bypass, detach the control valve, and extract the old degraded resin using specialized vacuums. We clean the interior of the tank and the distributor tube, then carefully pour in a new bed of high-capacity cross-linked resin beads before reassembling and flushing the system.
Your softener will regain its maximum capacity. You'll notice improved water pressure if the old mushy resin was restricting flow, and your soft water will remain consistent between regeneration cycles.
If the control valve head is still mechanically sound and correctly shifting through its cycles, replacing just the resin saves money. If the electronics are dead, a full replacement is wiser.
